Inkcups will showcase three promotional printing systems including the Double Helix’s automation capabilities, and for the first time ever, demonstrate new software to streamline the art preparation process at the Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) Expo 2022. The event will be held Jan. 11-13, 2022, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, in Las Vegas, NV.
The Inkcups display will feature the Double Helix and X5-T digital printers, and the ICN-200-2C pad printer. At the booth, Inkcups will also debut a specialized software platform that will seamlessly feed both digital systems prepared artwork.
The Double Helix, which is automation-ready for quick, continuous printing, is the newest addition to the Helix line of printing machines. This machine is a UV cylindrical printer featuring two print fixtures for double the printing volume (compared to the Helix) that can simultaneously print the same full-color graphics at around 6 to 8 parts per minute.
With a printable area of 8.6 inches in height, the Double Helix can print on items up to 12 inches in length with a diameter of 2-4.5 inches using design techniques such as spot varnish, tip-to-tip printing, mirror print, contour print and more.
At the show, the Double Helix will showcase its automation capabilities and feature a robotic system palletizing plastic water bottles.
The X5-T is a flatbed UV digital printer, equipped with the latest technology in print heads. It was designed specifically for promotional products and heavy-duty industrial printing. The X5-T hosts five print heads for on-demand, full-color prints on flat and slightly curved hard goods up to 20 inches tall. The X5-T can decorate a bed size of 43.3 x 24 inches in two minutes utilizing CMYKWW and optional varnish.
At the booth, the X5-T will demonstrate its printing capabilities on giveaway items including mint tins.
The ICN-200-2C is a two-color sealed cup pad printer that is flexible with a wide range of applications. Ideal for large injection-molded or industrial parts, the ICN-200-2C is able to print images up to 7.5 inches in diameter. This pad printer is perfect for handling artwork on larger products. The ICN-200-2C will be printing on frisbees.
